The Deputy Majority Leader in the Anambra State House of Assembly and member representing Njikoka Constituency Two, Dr. Jude Akpua, has reassured his commitment to continue serving his constituents equitably and efficiently by initiating and completing developmental projects and delivering the benefits of democracy.
Dr. Akpua gave the reassurance following the commissioning of a borehole project he facilitated for his constituents at Amagu Village, Ward 4 Abagana, Njikoka Council Area. The project was commissioned by the State Chairman of the All Progressives' Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Ifeatu Obiokoye.
In his address, Dr. Akpua emphasized his commitment to representing his people effectively in the state legislature and assured that he would continue to initiate projects in all wards of his constituency. He noted that the borehole facility would address the water challenges the village by providing access to clean water and reducing the burden of traveling long distances in search of water, which aligns with the state government's efforts to provide sustainable water solutions for the people of Anambra.
The lawmaker expressed gratitude to his constituency for their trust and support, assuring them that he would not disappoint them, while appealing for their continued support.
Commissioning the project, the state APGA Chairman, Barrister Obiokoye praised Dr. Akpua for addressing water issues in the area and highlighted the party's commitment to alleviating the hardships of the masses, as exemplified by legislator's efforts.
Barrister Obiokoye noted that the party is proud of Dr. Akpua, who, within one year in office, has initiated numerous projects, urging the constituents to continue supporting their representative to attract more development projects.
On their parts, the Transition Committee Chairman, Njikoka Council Area, Barrister Chinedu Ononiba, the APGA Chairman Njikoka, Pharmacist Chinedu Aniekwe, commended and the Central Zonal Chairman of APGA, Mr. Ndukaku Okoye Dr. Akpua for his developmental strides in the area and described him as a rare breed and an outstanding legislator who has demonstrated exceptional representation in his constituency.
On behalf of the community, the traditional ruler of Abagana, Igwe Mbamalu Okeke, represented by Chief Alex Achusi, described the project as a welcome development, thanking Dr. Akpua for his support.
