Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo says his government will make public schools model that private schools and mission schools will look up to them.
Prof. Soludo was speaking at Onitsha correctional facility, venue for the 70th birthday of Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan See for Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke.
The governor stated that "we are now having to show that we can have qualitative but free education in Anambra."
He revealed that out of 17 states in southern Nigeria, Nigeria, Anambra rates number one on ease of doing business. Also, according to him, in terms of fiscal viability, Anambra is top 5 in Nigeria, asserting that people can now do a change a Certificate of Occupancy in less than one week.
Earlier in the Mass, Archbishop Okeke prayed that Anambra will continue to be a model for others, prompting the governor to express his happiness over such a remark.

In attendance was also the Ceremonies Committee Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Anambra State- Ichie Sir Izuchukwu Nwabueze who also congratulated the Catholic Archbishop.
