The 2024 interhouse sports competition is underway at Austica Memorial College, Nanka.
Every moment has been spectacular as different sporting and entertainment events unfold. The event features match past and other track events.
In one of the concluded events, Yellow House (Orjiakor House) beat Black House (Eze Okafor House) 1-0 in a keengly contested grand finale. The football match, which featured the senior team of Ojiakor house (Yellow) and Ezeokafor house (Black) ended in a draw in the 60 minutes encounter. The failure of a winner to emerge gave birth to penalty shoot out in favour of Ojiakor house winning the trophy. Ahead of the victory, both teams could not produce a winner after all players, except goalkeepers tried turns at penalty shoot out. The intervention of Ojiakor goalkeeper saved the situation for the team.

Principal lauds students for stellar performance in JAMB, innovation, sports
The Principal Austica Memorial College Nanka Rev. Fr Obiora Okeke, Esq applauded the students for their excellent performances in both academics and innovation acquisition during their annual interhouse sports.
Rev Fr. Obiora further assures parents that the management of the college will always bring the best in their children in order to make them the good ambassadors of peace.
The principal, in addition, revealed that the last year performance of students from the college in joint admission and matriculation board(Jamb) examination which produced some students from college as the best scorers in Anambra State.
Rev. Fr Obiora Okeke added that the West African examination council (WAEC) has once rated the college to be among the best 50 schools in wester Africa with the best waec results.
Within the ceremony, students and parents who participated in various sports events were rewarded with different prices. At Orjiakor house, parents were rewarded with differrent gifts.
Austica Memorial College, Nanka is known for her rich cultural heritage. Accordingly, different masquerades performed to the delight of the audience. Also, the College Orchestra distinguished for her distinct performances thrilled the audience with superlative tunes including the college anthem.
