Gunmen in the wee hours of Tuesday reportedly ambushed a military convoy in Anambra State and killed over 15 soldiers.
The military convoy was said to be enroute Enugu from Onitsha when it was viciously attacked by gunmen suspected to be members of the Biafra Liberation Army.
Though, details of the attack is still sketchy, but an eyewitness who doesn’t want to be quoted said that a surprise attack was launched on the military convoy thereby causing maximum casualties.
Ammunition and other military gears where looted by the criminal elements.
When journalists reached out to Mr Christian Aburime, the spokesman of governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo over the alleged attack, he did not respond to his calls.
