SIR OGOCHUKWU  EKWUEME EXPRESSES GRATITUDE TO GOVERNOR SOLUDO ON THE COMMISSIONING OF AMANSEA-NDIUKWUENU-AWA-UFUMA ROAD

Yesterday, the Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba North LGA, Sir Ogochukwu Nnamdi Ekwueme, along with the people of Orumba North, welcomed the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, as he commissioned the 26-kilometer Amansea-Ndiukwuenu-Awa-Ufuma road.

The ceremony, which began in Amansea and ended in Ufuma, was attended by dignitaries from across Anambra State.

Speaking during the event, Sir Ogochukwu Nnamdi Ekwueme thanked the governor for completing the road within a record time.

The chairman noted that "The new road has had a profound impact on the lives of ndi Orumba North. It has reduced travel times, improved access to markets and services, and made it easier for the people to get around. The benefits of the new road have been felt by all, and the people of Orumba North are grateful for Governor Soludo's leadership."

On cutting the ribbon, Mrs. Agnes Ofor, a petty trader,  said that before Governor Soludo flagged off the construction of the road in March 2022, the road was in a deplorable state, making transportation difficult. However, since the road's completion, she has been able to transport her goods quickly and efficiently. She also expressed her hope that Governor Soludo would be re-elected, so he can continue to improve the lives of ndi Anambra.

Another local resident, Mr. Obed Nwafor, a commercial motorcyclist, also expressed their gratitude for the completion of the road which has made life easier, movement faster and commuting less expensive for Okada drivers and other road commuters.

The colourful event was well attended by dignitaries including Deputy speaker of ASHA Hon Chukwuma Okoye, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Orumba North ASHA member, Mazi Paul Obu, the Accountant General of Anambra State, Dr. Chukwudi Okoli, the TC Chairman of Orumba South, Hon.
