The President-General Ufuma Development Union Commodore Clement Amobi  has lauded Governor Charles Soludo  for the "successful completion of eventful two years in office, as well as achieving a feat  no government in Anambra State could  achieve since 1999 and even  beyond in just two years with out borrowing a dime from any agency, institution or government." Commodore Clement Amobi Ofor made the remark in an address read at Ufuma during the commissioning of Ufuma-Awa-Okpeze-Ndikwuenu-Amansea road completed by the administration of Prof. Soludo.

Recall that Governor Soludo recently commissioned the completed twelve kilometres of roads out of the fifteen kilometers representing nine roads he awarded in Okpoko.

The Governor also inspected the General Hospital, Okpoko, a first in the history of the community.

Members of the Press

Ladies and Gentlemen.

1. I stand here with utmost joy and gladness in my heart to welcome you all to Ufuma, the land of  hospitality, progress, peace and unity.

2. On behalf of the good people of Ufuma, let me say a big congratulations to his Excellency, Prof C.C. Soludo, the working Governor of Anambra State for the successful completion of eventful two years in office, as well as achieving a feat  no government in Anambra State could  achieve since 1999 and even  beyond in just two years with out borrowing a dime from any agency, institution or government.

3. His Excellency Sir, I am in receipt of so many viral videos where you were seen touring round Anambra State commissioning different projects of different kinds. The most prominent and touching among them was where the noble women of Anambra State, Oba Ofemiri to be precise were seen celebrating you as they spread their wrappers on the  ground for you to walk on, and we all know how happy and fulfilled an average Igbo woman will be before indulging in such. No doubt, today's event will be included in the avalanche of videos of project commissioning trending on social media to your credit.

4. Today is a historic day in the life of every Ufuma person, and I am delighted to stand here on behalf of my people to say welcome Sir to the official commissioning of Ufuma - Awa - Okpoze/Ndiugwuenu - Amansea road. Without mincing words, you have  positively changed the life of people living in this axis by constructing this road. We recall  that this road has defied completion by the last two regime in Anambra State, but today, we are here for the commissioning of the road, now completed by your government.

Gov Charles Soludo

5. The economic importance of this road can never be over emphasized. Farmers will now find it convenient to convey their farm produce from their farms to different markets in Anambra State and beyond for sale thereby boosting their financial muscle. Journeys from Ufuma to Awka will now last less than 25 minutes. With great joy  in our hearts, we say thank you, the Solution Governor.

6 .I seize this opportunity to also thank you for finding one of our own worthy of serving as a Commissioner in your Government in the person of Hon. Mrs Ify Obinabo, Commissioner for Social Welfare Development and Women Affairs.Thank you Mr Governor for remembering us!Thank you Mr Governor for bringing dividends of democracy to our door steps!

Thank you Mr Governor for making us count in the commity of towns in Anambra State!

7.  His Excellency Sir,  like Oliver Twist , our people will always want some more.  There are other roads in deplorable conditions Ndi Ufuma are appealing to feel the presence of your  Government.  Some of these roads are hindrances to easy transportation of farm produce from farm lands situated within our axis. Prominent amongst them are:

A. Federal Polytechnic Oko, Ufuma Campus - Obiagu - Ezegwu road.

B. Agriculture - Umuonyiuka - Umuogem - Nwadiana - Mmam road with a spur to Ekeokwu Umuonyiuka.

C. Ezegwu - Ugwumambo - Orie road.

As contained in the Community Charter of Demand (CCD) 2024.

Others are;

Ufuma Junction - Ozegu - Enugwuabo road.

Ugwu Umuagu - Obikpa Umuonyiba - Awa road.

8. Other  area of interest to Ndi Ufuma  is security. For sure, security has improved tremendously in Anambra State but the story is different in  our immediate environment. We sleep with our eyes  open because of recurring incidents of kidnapping or other forms of security breach in Ufuma and it's environs. Please Sir, we are ready to partner with the State Government to make Ufuma more secured.

9. I pray for God's wisdom, protection and guidance upon you your Excellency and your entire cabinet as you provide more dividends of democracy to Ndi Anambra.

10. To all our guests, it is my prayer that God will grant you safe trips back to you various destinations.

Once more, thank you Mr Governor. May we all have a memorable commissioning ceremony.

Long live Ufuma!

Long live Anambra State!

Long live Nigeria!

Commodore Clement Amobi Ofor (rtd)
