The Acting Rector Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr Uche Onyegbu has urged newly matriculated students of the institution to make adequate use of the centre for entrepreneur to enable them acquire skills while they pursue their educational programs.
The acting rector equally warned the new students against indecent dressing, cultism and other related illegal activities as the school security team will not condole any form of such act within the school environment.
Dr Uche Onyegbu also assured the new students of quality and standard learning environment, adding that no form of extortion by any staff from the students will be allowed in his administration.

Speaking at the event the acting registrar of the polytechnic Mr Onuchukwu Obini, congratulated the new students and applauded them for making the right choice of Federal Polytechnic Oko, which said has well-trained and disciplined staff'.
Also at the event, the Chaplain of St. Augustine's chaplaincy, Rev. Dr. John Umejiakor charged the students to be law abiding citizens and focus on their aim of being in the prestigious institution in order to contribute their quota in the nation building.
The event experienced huge attendance of personalities such as the former rector, Prof. Eugene Nwadialor, management staff, and the students Union Government executive led by the president, comrade Ogbu Kingsley.
