The Director General South East Governors Forum, Senator Uche Ekwunife CON continues to bring didvidends of democratic governmenance to Anambra people. In a latest development, Senator Ekwunife is improving the lives of the the good people of Abatete, Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.
In a remarkable event, Senator Ekwunife who is of Anambra Central this Thursday handed over a completed market building at Eke Market Abatete. This gesture was in fulfilment of her promise to support indigenous traders in the area through the provision of enabling environment.
In appreciation of her contributions to humanity, the community honoured Senator Ekwunife with prestigious award.
The President-General, Abatete Town Union, Chief Emeka Iloegbunam, (Ukpaka Nyilegbe) Abatete. Chief Edwin Enyokwa (Obi Ogbu), Chief Nnayelude Aroh, among others were part of the event.
Senator Ekwunife has over the years touched the lives of her constituency as well as other places including Aguata Local Government, her birth place.

Senator Ekwunife's track record of goodwill has not gone unnoticed in political circles. In a recent birthday message Ekwunife at 53, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah remarked:

Your unwavering commitment to the principles of democracy and justice has earned you the respect and admiration of your constituents and colleagues alike. Moreover, under your watch as the Director-General of South-East Governors Forum, the union has flourished, becoming a platform for collaboration, development, and progress, and your tireless efforts in advocating for the interests of the South-East region have not gone unnoticed.
