Despite the difficult times, the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Federal Polytechnic, Oko chapter is adding quality to the yuletide.
This Xmas season, ASUP led be Barr. F.M. Oduah is unwinding the year with distribution of edibles.
At Mass Communication complex, venue of the event, members of ASUP queued peaceful to collect a package of rice and onions.
Some staff who spoke to our correspondent commended the leadership of the chapter for sensitivity to the economy of the nation.

Chapter Chairman of ASUP Federal Polytechnic, Oko Barr. F.M. Oduah supervised the exercise. Chapter Secretary General Dr. Ben Obioha who also was part of the supervision stated that the Chapter Executive Council keeps the welfare of staff top on agenda.
Publicity Secretary of ASUP Mr. IK. Nwafor (Ikemba) commended the orderliness of staff during the exercise and assured the exercise would continue Thursday.
Former chapter chairman Dr Onyeka Uwakwe lauded the Chapter Executive Council for the palliatives, adding the mood of the season relates to giving. Dr Uwakwe urged the CEC to consider reaching directly to few known members who may be unable to physically attend due to ill health.
