The federal government says Nigeria will receive about four million doses of vaccines from the COVAX facility for COVID – 19 treatment on March 1 2021.
Chairman of Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who disclosed this in Abuja, however said that the vaccines would touch the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on March 2, according to the information provided by the United Nations Children’s Fund.
He assured that the Vaccines are coming very quickly as they believe that the Vaccines will be in on March 1 2021 in the night and will arrive Abuja on March 2 2021 in the morning.
He noted that Nigeria is supposed to have about sixteen million in the first quarter from the COVAX facility, expecting that by the time they supply all the range, they will supply eighty-four million doses from the COVAX facility which is free of charge and will cover about twenty per cent of the Nigerian population.
