Anglican Chapel of the Light, Federal Polytechnic Oko has concluded Anglicana 2024 in grand style. Anglicana is an annual spiritual programme in the Chapel that features prayers, crusade, evangelism, visitation to places like hospitals, prisons, motherless babies homes and others.

This year's Anglicana week started from Monday, July 29- Sunday, August 4, 2024. Some men of God featured in the different areas that make up Anglicana. These include teaching, preaching, deliverance, prayers and more.

Speaking on the topic, "My Ebenezer" on the first and second days of the programme, Venerable Ifeanyi Ogbueli reminded Christians to reflect on the theme: “Ebenezer is Here. ”

On Saturday, Evangelist Joshua Chukwugekwu led in the prayer sessions. In his teaching same day, he assured Christians that God's supremacy above all powers is undoubtful. He further admonished Christian faithfuls to ensure that their faith in God is unshaken as He is the only one capable of turning any situation around.

The Anglicana week rounded off this Sunday with a church service and students' harvest. The service featured harvest thanksgiving, praise and worship, drama, Anglicana Feast, etc.

In his homily, the Chaplain, Chapel of the Light, Rev Canon Emmanuel Ogudoro charged Christians to be always turn to God for help.

According to Ogudoro, Ebenezer is a Hebrew word meaning “stone of help” adding that when Ebenezer shows up in our situation, he comes with a loud thunder against enemies.

He said Ebenezer is a Commoration of divine assistance, and this kind of assistance is the help we receive from God. “Ebenezer also means the presence of Christ that guarantee success, breakthrough.”

Rev Ogudoro identified three things to consider before help come:

1. You must be conscious of a problem. 1samuel 1:4-17. For one to provoke Ebenezer to action you don’t have to see challenges as normal. Psalm 107:9.

2. You must know where to go for help. Psalm 18:3.

3. You must realize that with God, nothing is possible. Luke 1:37.

Anglican 2024 undoubtedly drew Christians closer to God as different ministers used by God throughout the programme touched on critical areas of our Christian lives.

Anglicana Feast which was part of the programme on the last day marks the end of the annual event for 2024.

Members danced and praised God for the success of the 2024 Anglicana week, as they look up to another one come 2025.
