NPL: Rangers set to fly back trophy, celebrate at Okpara Square, Enugu on Monday

NPL: RENGERS INTERNATIONAL CLUB 

The 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football  League champions Enugu Rangers will fly the squad, alongside the trophy, back to Enugu from Jos aboard a chartered aircraft after the game, which is expected to be attended by Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.

Recall that the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season will come to an end today with two key matches in Ibadan and Benin taking the spotlight.

The Rangers International club also announced the official trophy presentation of the trophy will hold on Monday June 24 at Okpara Square.The club team which will arrive Enugu from Jos on Monday morning and invites all fans and supporters to be available at the venue before 11 am. 

The trophy celebration is stipulated to hold by 4pm  and is expected to be  dedicated to  to supporters.

The major stakes, key matches

Benin will host a derby clash between Bendel Insurance and Bayelsa United and Shooting Stars will face Sporting Lagos in Ibadan. 

Sporting Lagos and Bayelsa United  battle  to  avoid relegation. Sporting Lagos occupy the 17th place with 46 points, the last relegation spot, while Bayelsa United sits in 15th place with 47 points.

At home, Shooting Stars aim to  to secure a continental spot with a strong finish at home, while Sporting Lagos is battling to avoid relegation. With a home advantage for a formidable 3SC, Sporting Lagos have a big task to overcome. Recall that the last face-off in Lagos was a close battle that ended 2-2 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan.

Meanwhile, Enugu born philanthropist, Okwuluora has been mobilising fans of Enugu Rangers to come out enmasse to welcome the winning team.

Emmanuel Onyeka Okoh goes by the media name "Okwuluora" and he is the founder of Good Man Network and hails from Nkanu in Enugu State, Nigeria. Okwulora stands for "Public Advocate" or "Public Speaker." 

True to his name, many people have benefitted from his free advocacies. He provided strong advocacies preparatory to the crucial encounter with Enyimba. Recall also that the leadership of NPL has quashed Enyimba's appeal, sustaining the ealier 3points awarded to Rangers. 

Ahead of the return of the team, Okwuluora has shared on his handle, the procured 100 cartons of Indomie noodles and some electronics meant for the celebration.  He also announced: "I have paid for 250 special plates of Abacha Udi & smoked fish! Wahala Tomorrow for Okpara Square Up Rangers!"
