It's with deep shock that I received the sad news of the inferno that occurred at Ufuma junction. It's  disheartening to experience such disaster at this period of national and global economic melt down. I console the victims and pray for God's Grace upon them.

After listening to the concerned victims and seeing things myself, am moved with pity. I have requested for the lists of all the occupant of the shops be sent to me as soon as possible for immediate response. And as well I will formally communicate the ministry incharge for relieve materials and necessary attention as this happens in my Constitutency.

As the cause of the inferno is still uncertain, we should as individuals be security conscious and shun all form of activities that would expose us to such unfortunate incidents. Bush burning and unsupervised waste burning should be discouraged at this time. I encourage everyone to always switched off electrical appliances when done with business of the day and also ensure that they have the contacts of fire service agency nearest to them.
