NIA DG, Ahmed Rufai Abubakar resigns

The Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar today tendered his resignation to President Bola Tinubu. 

The reason for his resignation is not yet known but is believed to be in connection with the resolve of President Tinubu to address rising insecurity in the country. 

Abubakar was appointed NIA DG by former President Buhari.
