Anambra State House of Assembly condoles with Gov. Soludo on father's death

Members of Anambra State House of Assembly this morning, November 17, 2023 paid a condolence visit to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, on the passing of his father, late Pa Simeon Soludo (Akukananwa 1).

The Honourable Members visited the Governor at the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia where the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze presented their condolence message to the Governor on behalf of other members.

Rt. Hon. Udeze speaking on behalf of other members expressed great sadness over the loss and expressed their heartfelt condolences to the Governor and his family.

The Governor expressed his appreciation to the House Members for coming physically to condole him and thanked them for their support and solidarity at this difficult times.

It will be recalled the Governor's father died at the state's owned hospital, Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Anambra State, on November 6, 2023.


ANAMBRA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL CONSOLES SOLUDO ON FATHER'S DEMISE, OBSERVES A MINUTE SILENCE

In a related development, members of the Anambra State Executive Council offered their condolences on the death of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo's father, late Pa Simeon Soludo (Akukananwa) who passed on at age ninety-two (92).

The Executive Council offered their sympathy and support by observing a minute silence, after which their condolence message was delivered by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim and Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu.

The Executive Council members expressed their sadness over the Governor's loss and also reassured the Governor of their support. 

The Governor thanked them for their kind words and support during this tough time.
