Rector Fed Poly Oko congratulates School of Engineering, School of Business for winning male, female cups

* SIT President blames poor officiating for female team's defeat

The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Oko,  Engr. Dr  Francisca Unoma Nwafulugo has congratulated School of  Engineering for wining male football category. She also lauded the efforts of the female team of School of Business for winning the female cup all football category.

During the presentation of the trophies, the Rector charged  students to always be dedicated and focused in any worthy thing they do, adding that sports is one the best activities in the world today.

The final football match which held at the polytechnic field between the School of Business Studies and School of Engineering ended with 3:1 which made the Engineering to win the male team  trophy.

Female category: SBS beats SIT in 1-0

In a similar development, the female football category also held their finals  which the School of Information technology lost to School of Business in 1-0. However, the School of Information Technology female football team expressed displeasure over the referee's decisions  during the match.

In an interview, an eye witness Mr Emeka okafor said it is always good to bring in an expert especially anything that has to with students. adding that the outcome would have  been different if the referee was a well trained one.


SIT President submits petition to sports director 

In a display a total disagreement the President  School of Information Technology submitted  a petition to the sport director of the polytechnic as he seeks redress.

The Rector's cup which has the fixtures of volley ball, basketball, athletics and football for both male and female teams. The event serves as a means of exploring talents as well as  uniting the students as they familiarize with each other.

The event experienced presence of the Management body of the school which includes the  Deputy Rector Academic.
