It's been sea of heads at the Catholic Cathedral Ekwulobia, venue of a spectacular event. Bishops, several priests, lay and various personalities attended the event.
The trpple events beginning today is relate Chief Sir J.J. Ezeokafor 69th birthday, his installation as Papal Kight and parents' memorial.
He has the titles: Nwachinemelu Ekwulobia, Ezeudo Aguata, Nwannedinamba Obeledu, Ide St Joseph, Ógbúnechendo Global and CEO JEZCO West Africa.
Cardinal Peter Ebere Okpaleke, Bishop of Ekwulobia led other Catholic faithfuls during the Mass thereby kicking of the ceremony in faith.
Ahead of the event scheduled to last for three days, the Cathedral premises was decorated with the state-of-the art canopies. Various roads earlier damaged by rains but leading to the venue received some upragde. This particular gesture has drawn commendations from the public.
Soludo attends, promises completion of Ekwulọbịa Flyover
The Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo who attended the event assured that the ongoing Ekwulọbịa flyover project and adjourning roads will change the status of the city when completed.
The Governor attended the occasion in company of his wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo, which was also used to commemorate the papal investiture of Chief Okafor as well as his late parents, Mr. Julius Okafor and Mrs. Josephine Akueju Okafor.
Chief Ezeokafor later hosted His Eminence Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpalaeke and some dignatries at palatial home.
